If you have made it this far, thank you for taking an interest in us. Let us say from the outset, in case it needs saying early, that we are storytellers, not entrepreneurs. This website is simply our place.

It's where we hang our memories—not because we want to sell anything or promote ourselves, but because it's our way of documenting the places we've travelled through both words and photographs.

The galleries and blogs are simply a record of the journey. We photograph for the sheer enjoyment of it, not because we believe our images or opinions need to mean anything to anyone else, but because they mean something to us. They're our memories.

Of course, we enjoy sharing them, but not for validation. We suppose it's rather old-fashioned. We think of this website as the digital equivalent of picking up a well-thumbed travel magazine in a doctor's waiting room—something to browse at leisure, to pause over, and perhaps to leave feeling quietly inspired.

If you're the sort of person who likes to linger for a while, then you're very welcome here.

If you're only passing through for a few seconds, this probably isn't the place for you.

We don't live life at that speed.

Whatever brought you here, we hope you have a productive day.

God bless you, wherever you are.

Helen and Martin

In the end, It's about winning the day.

After more than 60 years of combined service to the nation, we entered a new phase of life. Today, we spend much of our time travelling—mainly, but not exclusively, in our motorhome—following our shared passions for photography and running. Our running has taken us from local events to marathons, in destinations throughout the UK and across Europe.

We are club runners based in the East of England and simply enjoy recording our journey. We make no claim to be experts in anything. We're simply trying to live a quiet, fulfilling and healthy life, while documenting the places we visit and the experiences we share along the way.

If you'd like to follow more of our adventures, you'll find links to our Instagram, YouTube and Facebook channels. Otherwise, we'd encourage you to visit the Blogs section using the navigation above or below. We enjoy writing—it keeps the grey matter working and allows us to preserve the stories behind our photographs.

Photography has become an important part of our travels, and we choose to photograph with Leica cameras because we enjoy the experience they offer. If you're interested in the cameras and equipment we use, you'll find more information in the Blogs section.
